Tugs and Work Boats
The tug and work boat industry have extensive applications where CIP Composites can be used.  On deck applications where high loads and slow rotation or oscillation are anticipated, CIP Composite bearings eliminate the need for lubrication systems.  The self lubricating bearing material is excellent for sheave bushings, fairleads and hatch slide bushings.  Below the water line, water lubricated, multi-grooved marine bearings can be used for stern shafts and rudders.  Operating in either wet or dry running situations, CIP Marine Composites have low coefficients of friction and are non abrasive to mating surfaces.  Comprised of nonmetallic materials, the composite bearing material will not corrode.
