Columbia Industrial Products offers large size diameter bearings specifically for tanker vessels.  As large stern tube bushings and rudder bushings, CIP Marine bearings are approved by the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and can be provided ready for finished machining.  Split bearings, multi-grooved bearings and plain sleeve bearings can be machined to customer specifications and installed with either press in or freeze fitting methods.  Eliminate the need for lubrication systems by replacing current bronze or rubber materials with water lubricated CIP Marine Composite bearings.  This nonmetallic bearing material will not corrode in salt or fresh waters.  Accommodating for diameters up to 54 inches, CIP Marine can be used below or above the water line.
