Custom Composite Bearings

Manufactured with PTFE and molybdenum disulfide, CIP Composite bearings are self lubricating and non corrosive while operating in either wet or dry running environments. The non-graphite filled material can be used as an insulator when electrical currents are present. As a bearing and wear material, CIP Composites are best utilized in hydro applications where where high loads are anticipated in slow rotating or oscillating applications such as hydro spillway gates. With excellent coefficients of friction, tested by Power Tech labs, the material is ideal for trunnion bushings that only operate a few times per year. The greaseless material is a 100% non-metallic bearing material (no fiberglass or metallic shell) which allows for high edge loading and misalignment capabilities. Whether it's lock gate bushings, lock gate wear pads, chain guides or counter weight guide blocks, Columbia Industrial Products manufactures finished parts in accordance to customers’ specifications. With excellent strength and wear characteristics, CIP Composites are environmentally friendly making them great replacements for bronze, or urethane based bearing and wear materials.
