Inside Generating Plant
Tested by Power Tech labs and an approved material by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, CIP Hydro™ is an excellent bearing material designed specifically for inside generating plants.  In high load, slow rotating or oscillating applications, such as wicket gate bushings, CIP Hydro is self lubricating thereby allowing plant operators to eliminate lubrication systems and grease fittings.  Environmentally friendly and noncorrosive (no graphite), CIP Hydro can be utilized as linkage bushings, servo motor bearings, and split main guide bearings.  With the capability of running dry without grease or submerged under water, CIP Composite bearings have low dynamic and static coefficients of friction eliminating stick slip problems while operating quietly. 

Whether it's sleeve or flange bushings, wear pads or thrust washers, CIP Hydro composites have great compressive strength and are stable where misalignment is present.  The material is non abrasive to mating surfaces and is best utilized inside hydro generating plants as:
